So, today I learned that Commodore has been “revived” by Christian Simpson, a content creator based in the United States. Their latest announcement was that they’re bringing back the TAC-2 joystick.
The idea was fantastic. They simply wanted to bring this Suncom-built joystick back from the dead, promising it to be sturdier than ever while remaining 1-to-1 compatibility. The problem is, the price it was asking was simply off-putting its audience.
Now, the price itself for the joystick wasn’t really the off-putting thing, but rather in the UK and EU, the shipping was just as much as the joystick itself. Now, since the reveal a couple days ago, they’ve since asserted the overcharge was a mistake. Shipping should’ve always remained $19 USD regardless of your location.
The new Commodore joystick is available for pre-order with five distinct colors.
